I consider Emma to be the "A" team amongst the caring profession. Over the past year and a half they have continually demonstrated what the perfect care should incorporate.

Mum who had rapidly advancing dementia and dad who is very immobile were kept meticulously clean and well groomed and were served daily lovingly prepared home made meals. Medical issues are closely monitored and as soon as even the smallest concern arises we as a family are informed and a visit by the family doctor arranged.

Emma understands that emotional care is just as important as the practical care as well as taking into consideration the dynamics of the family of the ones they are caring for. She was quick to pick up that I am the highly anxious type so she calls me up regularly just to update me personally in addition to the twice daily family group update .She kept mum feeling useful by letting her "help" with the baking and in her last days ensured that there was always someone at her beside round the clock, stroking her, holding her hand, playing her favourite Swan Lake music in the background and enabled my sister and I to have video calls with her. The palliative care provided was both exceptional and very touching. When dad subsequently lost the will to live he was bundled up in the car and taken on surprise excursions.

Should cover be needed the perfect match will be provided. In our case a wonderful carer who could join dad on his ancient accordion with her guitar which cheered him up no end.

Should there be any issues with the house/garden etc. then you need not worry either. Problems will be flagged up before they become a real issue and action taken .
